AgriMedia has 14 smart weather stations helps us to disseminate weather related information to our subscribed farmers. AgriMedia is aware that the global phenomenon of climate change is  affecting  the pest dynamics, we are seeking the help of Plantwise to help us with the ground scenario of pest and disease from key areas of the country. This will help the farmers to take action against the pest as forecasted by the change in weather in a particular area.

The very next step that has been planned  under the PW program would be a content development workshop. AgriMedia plans to bring the country experts on Pepper and Coffee together to have a look at  existing literature of the specific pest problem on these crops. The review material will also include Pest management Decision Guides of Plantwise.

The workshop, which will be facilitated by CABI, would help AgriMedia  to validate and revise the literature with updated knowledge and convert them into short messages for dissemination through Agrimedia channels, particularly with mobile apps. “We are very happy that this material is in Vietnamese, it can be readily used through our systems to reach out farmers with pest specific information”, says To Duc Hai, the young CEO of AgriMedia. He strongly believes that business in any sector should bring benefit to the society and hence he steers his company to have strong partnership with PW in the country.
