Based on the competency of Vietnam Academy of Agriculture Sciences (VAAS) in conducting research and applying advanced technology to agriculture and AgriMedia company’s technological applications, information on market, weather and agricultural production, warnings on risks in agricultural production, on March 11, 2016, the signing ceremony between two organizations was organized at VAAS. Representatives from VAAS and AgriMedia are Mr.Trinh Khac Quang, Director of VAAS and Mr.To Duc Hai, CEO of AgriMedia, respectively. The purpose of the cooperation is to research on technological application in agriculture, information on weather and market to deliver updated and accurate information to farmers, which will contribute significantly to the effectiveness, productivity and sustainability in agricultural production.

The cooperation agreement is comprised of the 3 main points:

  1. Cooperation in conducting research theses and projects as well as to build forecasting and warning news based on data from iMetos station; delivering information that serves agricultural production management; collaborating with other agencies to carry out other research projects funded by Government.
  2. Cooperation in launching services which provide information on agriculture to farmers through channels of telecommunication corporations.
  3. Profits are shared between two parties, according to the cooperation agreement. Roles and responsibilities of each party will be listed in detail by the document attached to the cooperation agreement
